Before any colour work, we’ll invite you in for a patch test. This quick step ensures your skin won’t react to the colour, and must be carried out at least 48 hours before your appointment.

On the day of your visit, your stylist will begin with a one-to-one consultation. This is your opportunity to discuss the look you’re hoping to achieve, whether that’s soft natural blending or a brighter, more defined finish. We’ll also talk about your lifestyle, how often you’re happy to visit the salon, and what level of upkeep you’d prefer.
We’ll then select the right shade or combination of shades to suit your skin tone, natural base colour and style goals. Your stylist will carefully apply each foil section to create a balanced, all-over result that grows out beautifully.
A full head highlight appointment can take 2 hours depending on your hair’s length and thickness. After processing, your colour will be gently rinsed and, where needed, a toner will be applied. This helps to refine or soften the tone, neutralise brassiness, and enhance the overall finish.
To maintain your highlights, we usually recommend a refresh every 6 to 8 weeks, though this may vary depending on your chosen look. Between visits, your stylist will recommend professional Davines hair care to help preserve your colour, boost shine and keep your hair feeling healthy and hydrated.
